The information below may assist you in understanding your 2002-2003 Power Plus oil pump.
The photos below are for reference as the pump on the left is an external bypass unit and the one on the right is an internal bypass unit.
Over the past 3 years we have been working on and working with many of those that were directly involved with the original oil pump design and later upgrades.
Taking all this information we built a testing unit that allows us to monitor and test oil pumps in real time and see how our upgrades and new changes may or do affect the pumps performance.
We are now offering to update all versions of Indian Power Plus, Crazy Horse and V-Plus motors.
After testing and update all years and versions of pumps, there is a good chance yours needs one or more of the updates we do.
The videos link below is of the same pump on our test unit of before and after results.
In the before video, you will see air getting injected into both the top and bottom end circuits.
This happens continually to most pumps at between 3 and 15 seconds intervals. This will cause the oil to aeriated and possibly foam or frothing.
In the after video, you will see that this is eliminated, leaving the oil clear with is intended viscosity for optimum performance.
